Founder

A graduate of The Cooper Union, Laura Steele’s practice is rooted in research and inquisition. She worked for ZGF Architects, Taalman Architecture, and Stantec before starting her own firm in 2019. Drawing upon deep industry experience in residential design, healing environments, and care facilities, Laura founded Steele Projects to not only deliver inventive and highly attuned environments but also a customer experience that leaves clients feeling confident and inspired.

Laura lives in Studio City with her family. As pragmatic and methodical as she is a talented designer, Laura believes in budgets and schedules as much as she believes in the power of architecture to enrich our lives.

Laura is the recipient of numerous awards, including The Cooper Union Service to the School Award, the Alpha Rho Chi medal for professional merit, and the Irma Giustino Weiss Fellowship. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, including the ULI Partnership Forum. She has been a licensed architect since 2011 and a LEED accredited professional since 2008.
